In today's digital age, laptops often slow down and hang due to accumulated cache memory. This can be frustrating when trying to complete essential tasks. Let's explore how you can clear cache from your browser and enhance your laptop's speed.

Clearing Cache in Windows System

To clear cache in Windows, start by opening the Start menu and search for "Disk Cleanup." Select your drive and click OK. Then, choose "Temporary files" and other cache files from the "Files to delete" list. Finally, click OK and then "Delete Files."

Microsoft Edge

In Microsoft Edge, click on the three dots at the top right, then select Settings. Navigate to "Privacy, search, and services" and under "Clear browsing data," click on "Choose what to clear." Select "All time" under Time range and check "Cached images and files." Click "Clear now."

Using Run Command

You can also clear cache using the Run command. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type "temp," and press Enter. Select all files and delete them. Repeat this process with "%temp%" and "prefetch" to delete their respective files.

Clearing Cache in Google Chrome

For Google Chrome, open Chrome and click on the three dots at the top right. Go to "More tools" and select "Clear browsing data." Choose "All time" under Time range and check "Cached images and files." Click "Clear data." By regularly clearing cache using these methods, you can significantly improve your laptop's performance and ensure smoother operation during important tasks.
