New Delhi: Team India's opening batsman Ishan Kishan has jumped 68 places in the list of batsmen in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) T20 rankings released on Wednesday. He has now moved up to the 7th position. At the same time, among the bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal have also managed to move forward. In the ongoing home T20 series against South Africa, Ishan Kishan has performed consistently well. He has so far scored 164 runs in three matches, making him break into the top 10 in the list of batsmen in T20Is. Kishan is the only Indian batsman in the top 10. He is followed by KL Rahul at 14th position.
Before the start of the T20 series against South Africa, Ishan Kishan was ranked 75th in the T20 rankings. But in just three matches, he did wonders and moved up to the 7th position, with skipper Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer down one place each, 16th and 17th respectively, while Virat Kohli has slipped two places to 21st. Among the bowlers, fast bowler Bhuvneshwar has moved up seven places to 11th, while leg-spinner Chahal has moved up four places to 26th position.
