After two consecutive defeats in the ISL, Mumbai City FC returned to the winning track to beat defending champions Bengaluru FC 2–0 in their 13th round match of the sixth season of the Indian Super League. This victory, helped by goals scored by Modu Sogu (13th minute) and Emin Chermiti (55th minute), earned Mumbai three points but still remained fifth in the points table with 19 points.
However, he has reduced the gap between himself and fourth-placed Odisha FC (21). Mumbai have won after losing two consecutive matches, while Bengaluru have missed out on the topper with a hat-trick of wins. Bengaluru FC are in second place with 22 points while FC Goa occupy the top position with 24 points.
The first half ended 1-0 in favor of the host team. In terms of ball possession (56 per cent), Bengaluru FC were ahead but could not succeed. Modu Sogu scored the only goal of this half from Mumbai in the 13th minute. Apart from him, no player has scored a goal.
