Ramallah: Palestine has strongly criticized the US for favoring Israel's decision to establish a new settlement in the city of Hebron south of the West Bank. The news agency Xinhua has given information about this by quoting Saeb Erekat, the Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The news agency Xinhua wrote that "Israel's decision to establish an illegal settlement in occupied Hebron is the first concrete outcome of the US (US) decision to legitimize colonialism." Erekat wrote in a tweet that, "It is an international responsibility to take concrete steps, including banning settlements." This tweet from Erekat comes after Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett approved the construction of a new settlement in Hebron.
