Over 6,000 Carona cases reported in a day in Israel

Jerusalem: Israel's Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 6,063 new COVID-19 cases in the country. The figure of the total infections in Israel has been 170,465. This is the highest daily increase since the outbreak of the epidemic in Israel at the end of February, as the previous record 4,764 new cases were recorded on September 14. With 18 new deaths, the figure of deaths reached 1,165, while the figure of patients in critical condition has increased from 534 to 549.

At present, 1,163 patients are in the hospital. The ministry also reported a total of 123,219 recovery with 2,492 new persons, while the active cases increased to 46,081. Earlier on Wednesday, the ministry said that Israel has launched a campaign to transfer corona infections between hospitals due to overloading. According to the ministry, it is no longer possible to accept new corona-infected in hospitals in northern Israel, while hospitals in Jerusalem area are also dealing with high loads.

The Ministry also decided to transfer dozens of infected in central and southern Israel to hospitals. China and Israel have helped each other to fight the corona epidemic. On February 11, the Tel Aviv Municipal Hall was illuminated by the colours of China's national flag, showing unity with China in the war against novel COVID-19. Corona cases are continuously increasing in the country.
