NASA: India is ready to enter 2024 with a bang on January 1. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced that the XPoSat mission is scheduled to launch at 9:10 am using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), marking an important milestone in India's space exploration journey. It is going to happen. This mission is not only being described as India's first dedicated polarimetry mission, but also the second in the world after NASA's Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE) launched in 2021. This satellite is going to study black holes and neutron stars by collecting data of X rays.

Mission to study bright sources: Information has been received through news that XPoSat aims to study the 50 brightest known sources in the universe, this includes pulsars, black holes X-ray binaries, active galactic nuclei, neutron stars and non- Thermal supernova remnants exist. The satellite will be placed in a circular low Earth orbit of 500-700 km, with a mission lifetime of at least five years.

Information about the universe will increase: Let us tell you that the satellite has been developed by Raman Research Institute (RRI) in collaboration with U R Rao Satellite Center (URSC). The EXPOSAT mission is expected to provide new expansion to our understanding of the universe. This will add two important dimensions – degree and angle of polarization – to existing spectroscopic and timing data, potentially resolving ambiguities in current theoretical models of astronomical emissions.
