It is a training program that is conducted during the summer holidays. Its duration is 2 weeks.

How to participate- Students wishing to participate in this program will have to apply. They have to put their school certificates in the application. Students are selected on the basis of academic performance. Three students are selected from each state / union territory. Students studying in CBSE, ICSE or state boards can apply for this, although candidates from rural areas are given preference in selection.

When will applications be made, when training- According to the official notification, the process of application for ISRO Young Scientist Program 2020 is starting from 3 February 2020. Students have the opportunity to apply by 24 February 2020. The provisional merit list of the selected students will be released by 2 March 2020. Thereafter they may have to upload copies of the stated documents by 23 March 2020. The final list of selected students can be released by the end of March. The Young Scientist Program 2020 will be held from 11 May to 22 May 2020.
