Did Louis Tomlinson just draw a dagger through One Direction fans’ hearts? In a recent chat with Smallzy on the Surgery podcast, the One Director got candid about his opinion on the band’s first album Up All Night saying that he was not really a fan of the album. Tomlinson said that as a former member the album they debuted with was not really their best.

During the interview, he reflected on the music he made with his band mates in their One Direction days, as he shared, "Twelve years ago today the band got formed, but the first album was s–t anyway." The boy group first debuted with their album in 2011 and although Tomlinson is not a huge fan of the record, it went on to sell 4.5 million copies worldwide, proving the overwhelming popularity of the band ever since its debut. On the album were some of 1D's biggest hits yet like What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing. Following their first, the group went on to release four more albums, ending with Made in the A.M. in 2015.

Meanwhile, Louis also talked about finding his footing in the industry alone after the band went on a hiatus indefinitely. In 2020, Louis came out with his first solo album Walls. In the interview, Tomlinson revealed how there's still a lot of pressure on him after going solo with his work as he revealed, "There’s still pressure obviously for me to deliver a good record . . . and me trying to find my feet coming out of a band as big as One Direction."
