Corona: ITC takes the initiative to deliver food to children and elderly

India's leading FMCG company ITC has taken a new initiative to deliver food and food to children and the elderly in this difficult time of Corona epidemic. In these extraordinary circumstances, the company is ensuring food supplies across the country through 'Ashirvad Box of Hope' and 'Sunfist Box of Happiness'. The company is taking this initiative under the Rs 150-crore emergency fund created for COVID-19. It is noteworthy that a 21-day lockdown is in place throughout the country to prevent the spread of corona virus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this on 24 March. This lockdown will run until 14 April.

In a release issued by the company regarding this step, it has been said that ITC is supplying food and food to the people through three non-governmental organizations (NGOs). According to the release, this scheme is being run from April 1 and all aspects related to cleanliness are being taken care of during the food supply. 'Ashirwad Box of Hope' is being distributed to the elderly while 'Sunfist Box of Happiness' is being distributed to children.

In its statement, an ITC spokesman said that consumers are fighting this epidemic with great patience. However, the child and elderly communities are the most affected and need additional support in these difficult circumstances. ITC is committed to making a meaningful contribution to society and with the help of Cry, SOS and another NGO, the company is trying its best.
