All of you will remember the song 'Itni Shakti Hame Dena Data' from the film 'Ankush.' The song is used as a prayer in many schools today. There has been a piece of big news recently about singer Pushpa Pagdhare who became famous by singing this song. In fact, Pushpa is going through financial constraints these days. Pushpa, an 80-year-old singer, gets Rs. 3,150 from the state government today, but her life is not going through for such a small amount and she has to struggle hard to get this pension. According to information received, singer Pushpa is currently living in a rented house in Fishermen Colony in Mahim, Mumbai.
She has recently sought help from the government citing his economic situation. According to a report, Pushpa had demanded a house for herself in 1989 but her demand was ignored. In a recent interview, she said, "At one point in time, I used to visit many states to raise funds. Whenever I came back to Mumbai, I met the then Minister and asked about my file, but every time I got the answer whether he was on a visit or not. The government should focus on a singer like us."
Pushpa also said that she is upset over not getting the royalty for singing her 'Itni Shakti Hame Dena Data.' She said the views of his song are in crores and if she had got his royalty, she would not have faced such a situation. Singer says "I have some relatives who helped when needed. I have not even got the royalty of my songs properly. I am completely dependent on others. Relatives have helped me instead of the government."
