Bollywood celebs have opened up on the subject of mental health in recent times. As per the WHO statistics, India is at number 5 in the list of most depressed countries in the world. Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra is now trying to change the whole perception of how people suffering from depression are treated. Social networking platform Facebook and Priyanka Chopra joined hands for an initiative ‘Social for Good’ whose aim is to create awareness for mental health.

At the event , Priyanka Chopra burst some myths about the confusion between anxiety, sadness, and depression. Talking about anxiety and Depression, Chopra said, Anxiety is not stress. Depression is more than just a low feeling. She further added that “The world needs to be open to having those conversations. Peecee further said that “We are human beings. It's all right to be vulnerable. As soon as a public person comes out about depression, there are people who shame them.

Gundey actress also said that, as parents and teachers we need to tell kids it is ok to talk about it. We need to normalize the conversation.
