Jabalpur: Senior Advocate Manoj Sharma of Madhya Pradesh high court said that now all advocates of the state including Jabalpur who come to the Central Administrative Tribunal, CAT to plead will gain a new experience. This is because, after a full 35 years and one day, CAT has got its own building. The newly constructed building at Katanga in Jabalpur was inaugurated online by CAT Chairman L Narasimha Reddy on Saturday. They were on the way to Tirupati from where they completed the omen by car.
As a result, judicial officers of CAT of benches including Delhi joined the program online. Local CAT member Ramesh Singh Thakur, administrative member Nalini Jayashilan, CAT Bar Association president senior advocate Manoj Sharma and senior advocate SP Singh and others witnessed the dignified moments. It may be recalled that CAT was launched 35 years ago. The Administrative Tribunal Act came into existence in 1985. Under which CAT was constituted. At the same time, personnel and officers of 207 Central Institutions were made free to file their cases in CAT. On June 25, 1986, for the first time in Jabalpur, CAT benches started from a room in the Attorney General's Office. In time, she was transferred to the rented building of Carbj Jabalpur. After a long wait, CAT got their own building. The new building is of all amenities.
The approach to completion of the Ghamapur-Ranjhi road has been challenged in three years through a PIL in the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The PIL said that the road being constructed under the Smart City Project has also not been widened. The petition is likely to come up for hearing next week.
