Famous Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Arjun Rampal formally joined Bhartiya Janata Party on Tuesday. They expressed that they are not politicians and just want to express that they like and support the policies of Modi government.

Now, it is understood that, they will be the star campaigners for the party’s poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Rampal told to media, yesterday “I am not a politician and am not here for politics. I am here to see how can I extend my support to them [BJP],”

The actors are now formally inducted into the party on Tuesday at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya was present on the occasion.

It is worth mentioning that the seven-phase Assembly elections in the largest state of India, Uttar Pradesh will begin on February 11, and results will be out on March 11.
