Gurugram: Activists of some Hindu organizations raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram when they arrived at a Christmas function at a school in Pataudi, Gurugram, Haryana on Friday. Tension is reportedly tense after people arrived at the beach event and raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram.

Blankets and food were to be distributed to poor children during the Christmas program at the school. Tell us that for the past few months there has been a controversy over open prayers in Gurugram. The matter has reached the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed against Haryana's DGP and chief secretary in the open prayer case. The petition said the police and administration have failed to take action against abusive language and communal provocations, where 'goons' prevent people from offering prayers.

A petition filed by former Upper House MP Mohammad Adeeb said Gurugram is creating inaction of police and administration, hate speeches and hate crime. Because the police are not taking any action against those who are preventing Muslims from offering Friday prayers in the open. The petition said Friday prayers were allowed to be kept in the open, especially due to lack of space and facilities.
