New Delhi: Congress has high hopes from the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' being taken out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and it feels that it will emerge with new strength. Senior Congress leader and national general secretary Jairam Ramesh said on Thursday that now the party will become more aggressive than before. With this, friendly parties and opposition parties will not be able to take it lightly.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has said that the way the BJP is attacking this yatra, it is clear that the ruling party is upset. Terming the 'Bharat Jodo' yatra as a lifeline for the Congress, he said that it would strengthen the party and breathe new life into it. Jairam Ramesh further said that in the history of 137 years, Congress has been transformed many times.

Jairam Ramesh further said, 'Now through this yatra, there will be a new avatar of Congress. Congress will be more aggressive and active than before which our friends and political opponents will not be able to take us lightly.' He said that Congress is the oldest party and it may not be in power, but it is present in every locality, town and village. Hitting back at the BJP's attack on the yatra, Jairam Ramesh said, "The way the BJP is attacking proves that it is very upset."
