Jammu: A number of cases continue to come from the country,  from Jammu and Kashmir, an army soldier allegedly shot himself from a service revolver inside a camp. Police reported this on Sunday. Police said that the incident was from Ukhral area. The sepoy Hanuman Chaudhary was on sentry duty and committed suicide by shooting himself inside his camp in Ukhrul area at around midnight.

Police said the body has been sent for postmortem. He reported that investigation has been started in this case. However, it is not yet known why Hanuman Chaudhary committed suicide. At the same time, a woman was injured after a car did not stop at two check posts in Pulwama city on Saturday, after which a woman was injured. The police said that Junaid Tariq Dar, a resident of Handwara in Kupwara district of North Kashmir, has been taken into custody.

A police spokesperson said that at around 3:15 pm, the car was indicated by the police team to stop at Avantipura Chowk, but the driver did not stop the car and hit the police officer Nasser Ulla. He said that the driver again refused to stop the train on the Padgampura bridge when the CRPF troops stationed at the checkpoint opened fire in the air as a warning. The spokesperson said, "The vehicle's tire burst in the firing and after that Jayasi Pervez Sheikh, a resident of Muran, Pulwama, was shot in the car.
