Shopian: Indian Security forces killed four terrorists in an early morning encounter in the Kapran Batagund area of Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. As per earlier reports suggested, that around 2-3 terrorists were believed to have been trapped.

However, security forces gunned down four in a major gun battle, with more terrorists believed to be holed up. The operation is, however, in progress and mobile internet services have also been cancelled in the south Kashmir district.

Worth mention here On Friday, six terrorists, including a top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Sekipora area of Bijbehara in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. A heavy store of arms and ammunition were also found from them, including six weapons.

The killed militants were recognized as a Commander Azad Malik, Unais Shafi, Shahid Bashir, Basit Ishtiyaq, Aqib Najar and Firdous Najar, all were local residents as IANS reported.


It is noted that on Tuesday, four terrorists were killed in another encounter between terrorists and security forces at Nadi Gam village in Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir and one Army jawan was killed in the ferocious gun battle.
