Srinagar: A 124-year-old woman has been given corona vaccine supplements in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. 124-year-old Rahati Begum, a resident of Kral Mohalla Shakawara Kheri in Baramulla, was given the first dose of the vaccine on Wednesday. The health workers went to the woman's house and vaccinated dose to her. The deputy commissioner of Baramulla has also shared the picture.

According to health officials, the woman had neither Aadhaar nor voter ID nor any identity card, but the woman's family has a ration card, which is pre-independence. According to this ration card, The begum lives 124 years old. Officials said door-to-door vaccination is being done only for people aged 18-44 years. Health officials said that when the woman's family appealed that her elder grandmother was over 100 years old and could not be said due to weakness, the staff decided to vaccinate the woman. 

According to ration cards, Rahebegum was born in 1897. Family members say that the begum cannot walk and speak clearly because of her weakness. However, if it is true that Rahati Begum is 124 years old, she can record the highest age woman in the world.
