Srinagar: A major road accident took place in the Khanetar area of the Poonch district of The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. According to reports, at least 16 passengers were injured in the collision of the bus-truck. The police have informed in this regard. An official informed about the accident and said that the accident took place after a bus carrying train number JK 12 910 collided with a truck on the Jammu-Poonch highway in Kaniyan, one kilometer from Poonch city.

DSP Headquarters Poonch, Nawaz Chaudhary told the media that sixteen persons including the driver of the bus were injured in the accident. He said the injured were taken to district hospital Poonch for treatment. "The bus driver was shifted to GMC Jammu for special treatment," he said. More information is currently awaited.
