Srinagar: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, 5 government employees have been dismissed from their jobs for having terrorist links. They are accused of running a narco-terror syndicate and helping banned organizations to carry out terror attacks. Thus, once again strict action has been taken against terrorist connections in the Valley. 

This action has been taken against government employees under Article 311(2)(C) of the Constitution. The Jammu and Kashmir government is engaged in locating and eliminating the terrorist elements present inside the system. During the previous governments, many such terrorist elements were provided employment through the back door. The names of the five government employees who were sacked for terror links are Tanveer Salim Dar (Constable), Afaq Ahmed Wani, Iftikhar Andrabi, Irshad Ahmed Khan and Abdul Momin Peer. Let us tell you that Tanveer Dar was appointed in 1991. In July 2002, he was posted as 'Armorer' at the Battalion Headquarters. Investigation revealed that he helped the terrorists in providing arms and ammunition.

Simultaneously, Afaq Ahmed Wani was working as a Manager in Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. Iftikhar Andrabi was appointed plantation supervisor. Irshad Ahmed Khan was made orderly in the Department of Jal Shakti in 2010. At the same time, Abdul Momin Peer was appointed as Assistant Lineman in PHE Subdivision in 2014.
