After being seriously injured in the firing, he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Doctors say that he could not survive till he was brought to the hospital.

When other family members came out after hearing the firing, they found Puran Krishna Bhatt lying in the garden covered in blood, after which he was hurriedly taken to the hospital with the help of local people.
