Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik has defended his statement on the instructing terrorists to kill the corrupt. During an event, he urged the terrorists not to target police personnel and SPOs in Jammu and Kashmir. Don't kill them. If the terrorists have to be killed, they should kill the people who loot the state. He is a target of such people and is looting the state. Seeing the controversy escalating over his statement, Governor Satyapal Malik had to explain today.

"I am very sorry, I believe that I am the Governor, I should have avoided such statements, whatever I said in terms of the resentment and fret within me about corruption. He said, "I believe that while i am in the post of Governor, I should refrain from making such statements. But if I had not been in the post of Governor, I would certainly have persisted with my statement and would have been willing to take any action for him," he said.

Governor Satyapal Malik said, "Some people are responsible for the misfortune and degradation of Kashmir, who have been robbed as much as has not been in any state in the history of India. J&K leaders and bureaucrats of several political parties are involved in corruption cases, these people are criminals. As a Governor, I should avoid making such a statement, but as a layman, I feel the same way," he said.
