Srinagar: The army's search operation in the Uri sector of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which began on September 18, is over. The army has had great success in this major five-day operation. The army has gunned down three terrorists. Moreover, in the search operation, the army has recovered a large number of weapons from the militants.

According to officials belonging to the Indian Army, the operation was launched on the night of September 18. The internet was then suspended as a precautionary measure in the Uri sector on Monday (September 20). However, the Internet has been resumed here from Wednesday. The army said a massive operation was launched against terrorists in the Uri sector in the last four days. Three terrorists were killed near Rampur in the Uri sector. The three terrorists had entered Kashmir from neighbouring Pakistan. Security forces have seized 5 AK-47s, 8 pistols and 70 hand grenades from the slain militants.

State that the army had noticed suspicious activity in the Uri sector after which the operation was launched. Uri is the same area where the army was attacked by terrorists in September 2016. After which India took revenge by carrying out surgical strikes.
