Srinagar: The army and security forces continue their operations against terrorists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Kashmir's Shopian on Saturday. One terrorist has been killed in it. The encounter took place in Chermarg village under Genpora in Shopian. The search operation by the security forces is still going on.
It is being told that the jawans have surrounded two terrorists. Security forces told the media that they had received inputs about the presence of militants in the area. After this, a joint team of the army and CRPF surrounded the area and launched a search operation. As soon as the team moved towards a suspicious hideout, the terrorists opened fire. In retaliation, security forces and army teams also opened fire and one terrorist was killed. At the moment, it is not known which organization the terrorists belong to. After the encounter is over, security forces and local police will investigate it.
