On February 25, the global reality music show 'Indian Idol' will be launched in Telugu. The reality show, which is making its first trip to the South, is on a quest to find its Telugu voice. 'Indian Idol,' a Hindi-language adaptation of the British reality show 'Pop Idol,' premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on October 30, 2004.

The reality show will air on aha, the Telugu OTT platform, on Fridays and Saturdays, and will be hosted by famed playback singer Sreerama Chandra, who came to fame as the Season 5 winner of 'Indian Idol.' With its audition frenzy and a trio of judges on board, the show has already piqued Telugu fans' interest. Aha presented its jury, which includes music composer S. Thaman, actor and singer Nithya Menon, and playback singer-turned-composer Karthik, promising a lavish music event.
