J&K police busted 3 Jaish-e-Mohammad hideouts

Srinagar: Security forces are continuously carrying out campaigns against terrorists in the Union Territory, Jammu and Kashmir.  In this order, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir police and security forces in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday traced and destroyed three hideouts of Pak-backed terrorist organisation Jaish-e -Mohammad. The police have registered an FIR in the case.

Police said security forces launched a search operation on the basis of specific inputs regarding the hiding of militants in the jungles of Buchu-Kamala in Tribal area of Avantipora. This was stated by the authorities. Police said, "Three Jaish-e-Mohammad bases were detected and destroyed during the search operation. Explosives and weapons have been recovered from the hideouts," he said.

While solving the May 20 terrorist attack in Srinagar's Pandach, police arrested five Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) militants who helped terrorists and seized four vehicles. The case has been registered against the arrested terrorists and further action is being taken.
