Anantnag: On Monday morning, security forces surrounded the Dashahatgars in the forests of Verinag in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. At this time, the security forces have started an encounter to eliminate the terrorists. Firing is going on from both sides. According to the information received, a joint team of police, Army 2 Para and CRPF started a cordon-and-search operation in the Verinag forests.

As soon as the security forces reached the suspect's location, the terrorists already hiding there started firing. After this, the security forces also retaliated and the encounter started. A senior police officer has confirmed the ongoing encounter between the security forces and the terrorists, saying that it was reported that the terrorists have kept a hide out in these forests and the movement of terrorists remains here. Today a search operation was started in view of a group of terrorists.

Let us tell you that on Sunday also, the army had killed four terrorists in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir. One of these encounters took place in Srinagar, while the other encounter took place in Shopian.
