Srinagar: Terrorists have once again started target killing in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. After killing a Hindu man in the Valley, terrorists shot and killed a sarpanch on Friday (April 15, 2022). The sarpanch who was shot dead in Kashmir's Baramulla has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bangroo.

 

 

According to media reports, Bangroo had left his home on Friday evening to go somewhere. During that time, the already ambushed terrorists attacked them. The terrorists fled after the attack. When people heard the gunshots, they rushed to the spot and saw Bangroo soaked in blood and informed the police. Sarpanch Bangroo's father's name is Mohammed Sadiq and Gosubag was a resident of Pattan. The news of Bangroo being associated with the BJP had spread. However, some reports also suggest that he had no connection with the BJP. At the same time, in some media reports, he is described as a BJP supporter.

The local police said that the militants opened fire on independent sarpanch Manzoor Ahmed in the Goshbugh area of Pattan in the Baramulla district. He was seriously injured in this firing. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. After the killing, security forces launched an operation against the terrorists. A search operation is being carried out to cordon off the entire area and nab the terrorists. So far, no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the murder.

Earlier on Wednesday (April 13, 2022) evening, militants had shot dead a man named Satish Singh Rajput in Pombe Kamprim area of Kakran in South Kashmir's Kulgam district. Satish Singh, who was injured after being shot, was admitted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The deceased, Satish, was a driver by profession. On the same day, terrorists had pasted posters in Kulgam threatening outsiders to leave Kashmir. A terror outfit called Lashkar-e-Islam had threatened policemen and army personnel on its poster. At the same time, it was written on the poster that non-Kashmiris and people coming from different parts of India should leave the Valley immediately.
