Srinagar: A visit to the Vaishno Devi cave temple in Trikuta hills of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir will resume today after being closed for nearly five months due to the global epidemic coronavirus. The yatra was suspended on 18 March. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVSB) has set a maximum limit of 2,000 pilgrims every day in the first week, out of which 1,900 passengers will be from Jammu and Kashmir and the remaining 100 will be from outside.

The situation will be reviewed and decisions will be taken accordingly. People will be allowed to travel only after online registration to prevent gathering of crowds at the travel registration window. It will be mandatory for the devotees to download 'Arogya Setu App' in their mobile phones. Wearing face masks will be mandatory. Passengers will be thermally tested at the entry points of the journey.

Counseling has been issued for children below 10 years of age, pregnant women, people suffering from other serious illnesses, and people over 60 years of age. After the situation becomes normal, this consultation will be reviewed. Traditional routes of Banganga, Ardhkunwari and Sanjichhat will be used to reach the building from Katra and Himkoti Marg-Tarkot road will be used to come from the building.
