Jammu: The administration has thwarted the Jammu bandh by detaining leaders and activists of some other organizations, including the Panthers Party. Jammu bandh was called on 7 December today to stop the mobile internet service in Jammu and Kashmir, the opening of the Soror toll plaza and rising inflation. In this connection, Panther Party leaders were protesting yesterday in Jammu city by distributing pamphlets, when the police took them into custody.

Party chairman Harsh Dev Singh has been arrested in the house. Police personnel has been deployed outside the house. The administration has foiled the Jammu bandh with party leaders and activists in custody. The impact of the shutdown is not visible anywhere in the city. Meanwhile, when the party's state head Balwant Singh Mankotia arrived outside the press club this morning along with some activists and was preparing for the protest, the police took him to custody.
