Despite 45 deaths from Corona, PM of Japan says, 'Emergency not needed yet'

Tokyo: Coronavirus is the most affected in Japan in the capital Tokyo. PM Shinzo Abe on Thursday declared it a national disaster after the number of coronavirus infected patients in Tokyo increased. However, the Government of Japan said on Friday that there is no need to declare a state of emergency in the country regarding the coronavirus.

On giving information at a regular press conference, the top spokesman of the Government of Japan, Yoshihide Suga, said that at present Japan is not in a situation where it needs to impose emergency. It is noteworthy that more than 1300 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered in Japan till Friday, while 45 people have died. More than 350 people infected with the coronavirus have become healthy.

712 people are also infected with the coronavirus on the Diamond Princess cruise ship, standing on the Yokohama coast near the capital Tokyo. According to a report, so far 45 people have died in Japan and 10 on the cruise ship due to this epidemic. On the other hand, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has set up a new task force to fight the coronavirus. Abe's decision is seen as an initial step towards declaring a state of emergency.
