Javed Akhtar is one of the renowned Lyrist, Filmmakers in Bollywood who remained in news for different reasons.  He has given various Blockbuster films in his career. He is celebrating his birthday today. On his birthday have a look on his journey in the film industry.

Javed Akhtar was born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Javed Akhtar's real name is Jadoo. Javed's father Jaan Nisar Akhtar was a famous lyricist of Hindi cinema and his mother Saifia Akhtar was a singer-writer. Javed Akhtar lost his mother at a very young age and after that his father remarried. Javed Akhtar has done his studies from Bhopal. In the year 1964, when Javed reached Mumbai for the first time he had only 27 paise in his pocket.

Even after two years in Mumbai, he could not get any good work. Javed Akhtar got the job of clapper boy in films. After this, he paired with Salman Khan's father Salim Khan. Both wrote films like Deewar, Sholay, Don. He met Salim Khan during the shooting of the film 'Sarhadi Lootera'. The pairing of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar has given the industry many blockbuster films  like Sholay, Baaraat and Deewar. They had written scripts for about 24 films in which only 4 stories have flopped. The 20 stories written together by them created a stir on the screen. However, in 1982, Javed and Salim parted ways due to some personal reasons.

Javed Akhtar got married to Honey Irani. Honey Irani and Javed Akhtar first met during the 1972 film Seeta Aur Geeta. Honey Irani told that once Javed Akhtar was losing in cards. “I told Javed to bring it, I will take out the card for you. Javed Akhtar said that if this card turns out to be good then I will marry you. Luckily the card turned out to be good. aved said, come on, let's get married now.” Joya Aktar and Farahaan Aktar are the kids of Javed and Honey. After this Javed fall in love for Popular actress Shabana Azmi. However, he did not want to leave his first wife. Honey told him to go and live with her.
