The youth in Bhadrachalam in GD are bringing about a major change in the lives of the poor with their charity under the JD foundation. Young members of the Foundation donated Rs 10,000 for the fees and other expenses of the student who entered the BTech course offered by The University of Cakatia. Student, Patra Manasa is educationally bright but economically from a poor family.

The foundation's former Khammam convener K Murali Mohan Kumar along with G Suresh, B Satish and others collected the required amount. This amount was handed over to the student and the entry formalities were completed on October 28. Similarly, the foundation members donated a stall umbrella to a coconut named Ramanayya working in a pavement at UB Road at Bhadrachalam. "We saw him sliding on the pavement without protection from sun or rain while working," says Mohan Kumar.

"So, we decided to donate an umbrella to give him a shadow so he can work comfortably. The local trader Gaberam donated the umbrella," Ramanayya thanked the members of the Foundation for gestures.
