Patna: Unidentified miscreants shot dead an aide of Janata Dal United (JDU) MLA Amarendra Pandey at Rajapur market in Gopalganj district of Bihar. Two more people have been injured in the accident, who have been admitted to the hospital. At present, the police have registered an FIR and started further investigation. Two people have been named in the case and they are being questioned.

According to preliminary information, Devendra Pandey, a close aide of JDU MLA Amarendra Kumar Pandey and local BDC member Pappu were talking in Rajapur market under Gopalpur police station area. Meanwhile, two unidentified criminals fired several rounds indiscriminately, in which Devendra Pandey died on the spot. While Pappu Pandey and a bicycle rider, young Rangeela Chauhan were injured by the bullet.

The injured Pappu Pandey was referred to Gorakhpur for treatment, where he too died on the way. Two people died and one was injured in this accident, while the injured Rangeela Chauhan has been admitted to Sadar Hospital. After the incident, the mob on the spot caught the two criminals who were running away. One of them was run over by the local people and beat up. The severely injured youth has been admitted to the local hospital for treatment by the police.
