New Delhi: The Janata Dal United (JDU) has also undergone a major change after the expansion of the Modi cabinet. JDU has removed Sanjay Singh as chief spokesperson. He has been replaced by party MLC Neeraj Kumar as the chief spokesperson. Neeraj Kumar is considered very close to CM Nitish and MP Lalan Singh. Sources said Sanjay Singh may be given a new responsibility in the organisation soon.
The JDU on Friday also released a new list in this regard. The list has named former minister and party MLC Neeraj Kumar in place of Sanjay Singh. With this, former MLC Ranveer Nandan and Arvind Nishad have been appointed as state spokespersons. The team of spokespersons includes Nikhil Mandal, Smt. Suheli Mehta, Dr. Ajay Alok, Abhishek Jha and Pragati Mehta. The JDU had announced a new team of its spokespersons a day earlier. The team consisted of the names of seven people.
When questioned about the same, Sanjay Singh said that he has accepted every decision of the party. Speculation swelled in the political corridors over Sanjay Singh's removal as chief spokesperson. Sanjay Singh was considered to be a very aggressive spokesperson of JDU. Sanjay Singh used to give a scathing reply to the opposition leaders who launched a verbal attack on CM Nitish Kumar.
