Jeddah Summit Takes Center Stage: Saudi Arabia Hosts High-Stakes Talks on Ukrainian Crisis

Riyadh: In accordance with the Saudi Press Agency on Friday, Saudi Arabia will host a meeting of national security advisors and representatives of several nations on the Ukrainian crisis on Saturday in Jeddah.

Hosting the meeting signifies the continuation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's humanitarian initiatives and efforts, as well as the communication between the crown prince and Russian and Ukrainian leaders since the beginning of the crisis.

The meeting also shows that the Kingdom is willing to put forth the effort necessary to help find a resolution that will lead to enduring peace, as well as that it supports all programmes and initiatives aimed at lessening the crisis's effects and its negative humanitarian consequences.

The Saudi government hopes that by exchanging ideas, coordinating efforts, and holding discussions at the global level about how to guarantee a political and diplomatic solution to the crisis, strengthening global peace and security, and avoiding further humanitarian, security, and economic repercussions, the meeting will strengthen dialogue and cooperation.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for providing a venue for negotiations.

He stated in a statement published on X that the meeting of ministers of foreign affairs and advisers to heads of state about the Peace Formula will start tomorrow in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

"Many nations, from many continents, including those in the Global South, will be represented.

It is crucial because, in regards to issues like food security, how quickly the Peace Formula is implemented will directly affect the fate of millions of people in Asia, Africa, and other regions of the world.

He claimed that the gathering in Jeddah, which came after a related occasion in Copenhagen in June, will facilitate "step by step" progress towards the Global Peace Summit.

"A just and honest end to Russian aggression will benefit everyone in the world," said Zelensky. Restoring peace to international relations and stability to global life means eliminating all threats to Ukrainian and global security that Russia has posed
