Actress Jennifer Garner recently shared her experience of auditioning for the TV series 'Felicity', revealing it was quite an emotional journey for her. Garner, known for her roles in various films and TV shows, including 'Alias' and '13 Going on 30', disclosed that after auditioning for a cameo role as Hannah Bibb in the series created by JJ Abrams and Matt Reeves, she found herself overwhelmed with emotions.
In a podcast episode of 'The Ringer's Dear Felicity', Garner recalled the intense audition, particularly a scene she believes was centered around a breakup. "I remember the audition. I remember going into the bathroom after because the scene was so emotional and I needed to cry," she shared. Garner admitted that she sought solace in a bathroom stall to let out the emotions that surfaced during the audition, describing it as a powerful moment.
'Felicity', an American drama series, revolved around the college experiences of its titular character, Felicity Porter, portrayed by Keri Russell. The show, spanning four seasons from 1998 to 2002, captured the journey of Felicity as she navigated her life at the University of New York.
Jennifer Garner, known for her role in '13 Going on 30', appeared as Hannah Bibb, the former girlfriend of Noel Crane (played by Scott Foley), in the series created by J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves. Reflecting on her audition, she recalled the intensity of what she believes was the breakup scene.
"I remember the audition. I remember going into the bathroom after because the scene was so emotional and I needed to cry," she shared on The Ringer's Dear Felicity podcast. "I needed to hide in the bathroom stall and finish the cry that I started in the audition because it was such a powerful scene."
Garner mentioned Abrams asked her to return for another audition later on. Podcast host and former Felicity star Greg Grunberg humorously remarked, "That makes sense to me, because you're not very good. I totally get it. I mean, notes, notes — you know what? Let me give her a block of notes to take home."
