Ranchi: During second wave of the global epidemic 33 children is found corona positive in Jharkhand, following which the state government has been alerted for the third wave of epidemic. Steps are also being taken in the state to take care of children whose parents have died due to this epidemic.

Siddharth Tripathi, Special Executive Officer, Department of Health, Jharkhand has informed that a total of 1,64,46,947 people have been surveyed till May 31 in an intensive public health survey and rapid testing being conducted from May 25. He said, "During this period, 33 children have been found to be covid-19 positive, none of these children are in critical condition. These children are taking treatment in isolation at home".

According to Tripathi, out of these 33 corona positive children, 25 children are between the ages of six and 18, while seven children are under the age of one and one child is under six years of age. The health of these children is being monitored and studied to learn more about the impact of the epidemic in children. According to experts, if the third wave of Covid-19 occurs, it is likely to have the biggest impact on children.
