Ranchi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Raghubar Das suffered a tough defeat at the hands of Independent candidate Saryu Roy from the Jamshedpur East assembly seat in the Jharkhand assembly election. With this, Raghubar, who lost the CM's chair, also slipped from the MLA chair. In the assembly elections, the opposition coalition won a large state ruled by the BJP. This is the fifth state to slip from the BJP's hand.

The coalition led by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), which includes the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has crossed the majority mark (41) in the 81-member assembly of the tribal-dominated state. JMM has won 30 seats, its ally Congress 16 and RJD won 1 seat. In this way, the JMM-led coalition got a total of 47 seats. While the BJP could get only 25 seats this time.

These figures have made it clear that former CM Hemant Soren will once again sit on the CM's chair. Let me tell you that in the last elections, Soren had to face defeat at the hands of Das. This is a festive atmosphere for the opposition alliance, while it is a matter of concern for the BJP. In fact, after the loss of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to the Congress, Maharashtra also left the party's hands this year.
