Ranchi: The Hemant Soren government of the state has given a waiver on the occasion of Durga Puja after the opposition and the ruling party demanded that the second wave of corona be warned. After West Bengal, the grandeur of Durga Puja pandals in Ranchi remains in the headlines. While giving concession in the ban issued at Corona, 15 people will now be present at the venue instead of seven.

Pooja Pandal will also be able to use the sound extinguisher, but the voice will not exceed 50 degrees. Only live Path, Aarti can be telecast, not of recorded CDs, cassettes etc. That too from 7 am to 9 pm. After the order issued late in the night, the sound of Aarti has been started from the pandals since morning. People have been relieved when the border of devotees is increased. Few bans like no statue of maximum four feet, no theme construction of pandal, no construction of gates, no food stole near Pooja Pandal will continue as earlier.

Amidst the relaxation of puja, the health department has issued instructions to the Deputy Commissioners to exercise caution in the pooja, expressing apprehension of the second wave of the corona during puja. The Director, National Health Mission has written to all the Deputy Commissioners saying that the corona has been reduced in the state but the second wave is feared during Durga Puja. In view of this, orders have been issued to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued earlier on the corona, to take special care of standards such as social distancing, sanitization, thermal screening, crowd control and to increase testing with pooja pandals, enhancing food testing.
