Ranchi: February 12 is a very special day for Lalu Prasad, who is serving a sentence in the well-known fodder scam case. The bail petition filed in the illegal clearance case from the Dumka treasury is to be heard today in the Jharkhand High Court. Regarding this, Lalu Prasad's supporters and family are waiting for the hearing.

Lalu Prasad's bail plea has been listed for hearing in the court of Jharkhand High Court Judge Aparesh Kumar Singh. Presenting the answer in the court on behalf of Lalu Prasad, it has been said that he has completed 42 months in jail, he has taken half the punishment given to him. Therefore, they should be granted bail. Lalu Prasad Yadav's bail plea was earlier heard in the court of Jharkhand High Court Judge Aparesh Kumar Singh.

Kapil Sibal, counsel for the petitioner, and Rajiv Sinha, counsel for CBI, had submitted their views through video conferencing from their respective residence. During the court hearing, advocate Rajiv Sinha on behalf of the CBI opposed the bail and sought time to present his reply on the reply given by Lalu Prasad. While giving time, the court had earlier fixed the date of 12 February.
