Ranchi: After communal violence broke out in Bihar, now news of communal tension is coming to the fore in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Here, two sides clashed after tying a piece of meat to a religious flag. Hindu organisations protested, alleging that the flag was desecrated, and demanded strict action against the accused. As soon as the information about the protests of Hindu organisations was received, people from other parties also started gathering. However, the police reached the scene and pacified the matter. The incident was reported on Saturday, April 8.

According to reports, Mamla belongs to Kadma Shastri Nagar in Jamshedpur. Here near the square of Block No. 3, some religious flags were put up. Which are being told relate to Hinduism. It is alleged that some chaotic element had hung a bag of meat on those flags. Hindu organisations learned about this from the locals. Hindu organisations reached the spot and started protesting, demanding strict action against the accused. During this, sloganeering took place, after which people from the other side also started gathering.

In view of the increasing tension, a large number of police forces have been deployed on the spot. People in Hindu organisations have demanded strict action against those who defiled their religious flag. The police officers started talking to both sides and tried to pacify the matter. The meat kept in polythene was also removed from there. After hours of talks, the members of the Hindu organisation called off their dharna on the assurance of strict action by the police against the accused.

In protest against this incident, the members of the Hindu organisation changed the flag. Along with this, Hanuman Chalisa was also recited while sitting on the road at the incident site. After the recitation, a large number of devotees also performed aarti. At the place where the flag has been accused of desecration, there was a demand to name that square Bajrang Chowk. Along with this, a demand was made by the administration to install CCTV cameras in sensitive areas. The administration was also requested to remove the shops selling meat from the Chowk. The administration has been given 24 hours to arrest the accused.
