Ranchi: Jharkhand's West Singhbhum police have succeeded in arresting six PLFI militants from Gavai village under Tebo police station area of Bandgaon block following intelligence inputs. All the arrested PLFI are active associates of militant area commander Hari Singh Sandi Purti alias Modi. Police have recovered carbines, weapons, bullets, and other materials including Naxalite pamphlets from them. They carried out a number of habits in the area in the past, which have also been accepted by them.
Manka Shaluki alias Etwa Shaluki of Lota village under Tebo police station area, Sanika Bodra and Pankaj alias Junul of Chowki village of Table Police Station area, Sudarshan Soe alias Tatu of Goai village of Tebo police station area, Shiva Bodra of Tetaipadar village of Karaikela police station area, Deora Hembram alias Hazra Hembram of Lota village of Tebo police station area Sanjay Bothra of Tebo Chaki village has been taken into custody by the police. Police have also seized a desi carbine, 10 live bullets of 9 mm, Naxalite literature of PLFI outfit, receipt of levy demand, four mobile phones, and keys of several vehicles.
A total of 10 cases have been registered against active members of all PLFI. These cases are registered at Chakradharpur, Bandgaon, Karaikela Tokalo, etc. police stations in West Singhbhum district. All cases have been registered under the Arms Act and the CLA Act.
