Campaign against Naxalites intensifies before assembly elections, a dreaded Naxalite killed

Ranchi: After announcing the assembly election schedule in Jharkhand, the police has started to deal vigorously against the Naxalites. Police has killed a TPC militant in an encounter in Naxal-affected Chatra district. Along with this, police has seized a huge quantity of weapons including AK 47 from the spot.

Chatra's campaign SP Nigam Prasad has told that the TPC militant who was killed in the encounter has not been identified yet. In Lavalong police station area of Chatra district, police and a team of Jharkhand Jaguars jointly gunned down a militant of the third-conference presentation committee. A large number of weapons including AK-47, INSAS have been recovered from the spot during a search operation conducted after the encounter. The SP has said that there was an encounter of security forces with a TPC squad in the forests of Lavalong. He informed that the campaign is being carried out in the area to raid other members of the squad.

The police team has seized a large number of puppets, mobile phones, bags, Naxalite literature, diaries, shoes and other material from the spot. The security forces got this success during a special campaign against Naxalite organizations before the upcoming assembly elections. The police have recovered the dead militant's body and three weapons.
