Ranchi: A shocking incident has been reported from the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. Three persons from the same family were killed in Podner village in the Bandgaon police station area. The bodies were then buried in the Koel Karo river ghat overnight. In-charge divisional officer Dilip Khalkho said that Bandgaon police on Wednesday seized the three bodies on the trail of the culprit and sent them to Chakradharpur for postmortem.

He also said that the deceased include Salem Danga (40), his wife Belani Danga (40) and his 13-year-old daughter. Salem's two daughters had gone to their aunt's house so their lives were saved. He said the trio has been killed by slitting their throats with knives and he also said that the trio were been missing since Sunday evening. On receiving information, the police took Marx Danga of the village into custody and questioned him and he confessed to the crime and recovered the bodies of the trio to the police.

The police officer said that a distant relative of the deceased, Agustin Horo, said that two daughters of the deceased had gone to their aunt's house which saved their lives. He said the cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained. Khalkho said that prima facie the reason for the murder in the investigation so far appears to be mutual enmity. The matter is under investigation.
