After UPI support, Jio phone users will be able to pay at any shop from the phone itself, send money to anyone and ask for money from anyone. NPCI wants to increase UPI platform
National Payments Corporation of India also wants to increase the scope of UPI payments. The government had said that there is a danger of spreading of corona infection from the currency as well, after which UPI and digital payment in India has increased significantly. Apart from the Jio phone, WhatsApp is also going to get a green signal for UPI payment soon.

Will have to make special app
NPCI and Reliance Jio will have to make a special app for Jio phones, as Jio phone works on KaiOS and there are very few phones running on Kios in the market. It is expected that after the launch of UPI app for Jio phone, Nokia 8110 4g will also get its support, because this phone also has KIOS.
