Jio-bp, a joint venture between Reliance Industries Ltd. and bp Plc. of the UK for the selling of fuel, on Tuesday introduced a premium diesel additive-laced with increased mileage and up to Rs. 1.1 lakh in savings per truck, according to the business.
The cost of the premium diesel is less than that of regular or additive-free diesel offered by public sector (PSU) rivals.
The launch of Jio-BP's diesel with ACTIVE technology is expected to raise diesel standards for Indian consumers.
According to a statement from the company, "The newly launched additivized diesel, available across the company's network, will yield annual savings to truckers of up to Rs 1.1 lakh per vehicle due to (up to) 4.3 per cent improved fuel economy."
While the regular diesel at PSU gas stations in the vicinity costs Rs 92.28 per litre, the new diesel is being sold at the Jio-bp shop in Navi Mumbai for Rs 91.30.
For the first time ever in the Indian market, this new high performance diesel option will be made accessible at all Jio-bp shops at regular prices, as per the statement.
Diesel with ACTIVE technology helps lower the likelihood of unscheduled maintenance due to dirt buildup, eliminates dirt from important engine components, and guards against dirt buildup over time.
It is made to work with a range of commercial vehicles, and with continued use, it provides both drivers and fleet owners with a number of advantages.
It also lessens the possibility of unforeseen car repair while assisting in restoring and maintaining the engine's power.
