New Delhi: A case of sabotage in the library of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has come to light. The library is closed because of the corona epidemic. Some students wanted the library to be opened so they could read. The dispute started after an argument with the guard on Wednesday. In the meantime, the glass of the library was broken. Police have registered a case.

More than 30 students who reportedly wanted to enter the library. The guards were also attacked by the students when security guards stopped them. In the meantime, the glass of the library broke. Police have registered a case under Section 3 of the 188 (violation of government order) and the Epidemic Act. Further investigation is on. Police said a group of 35-40 students gathered outside the library, which is closed to students due to the epidemic, students protested in front of the gate and asked the guard to open the library gates, but the guard refused to do so. The incident took place tuesday at around 10.40 am.

According to the FIR, the guard called the Quick Response Team to disperse the protesting and students trying to break into the library. It is alleged that the students assaulted the security personnel and started beat the library gate with sticks. The glass of the gate broken, the guard resisted the attack.
