JAIPUR: The Rajasthan government extended the curfew in ten police stations in the district to midnight on May 6th. Officials also stated that internet services will be suspended until further orders are issued.

Meanwhile, the situation has been stabilised, with no major incidents recorded on Wednesday. The curfew was only extended as a precaution, according to Director General of Police M.L. Lather.

Curfews are strictly enforced across the city. Students who need to take tests, on the other hand, are permitted, he noted.  Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Commissionerate Court stayed up until midnight, granting bail to 60 people. On Wednesday, a meeting of two communities was arranged, and both communities decided to keep the peace.

Suryakanta Vyas, a BJP MLA, urged the release of innocent persons and the arrest of the offenders during the meeting. She walked out of the gathering and threatened 'dharnas' and fasting.

The BJP, however, has called off the 'dharna' and fasting movement that was scheduled to begin on Thursday after the administration promised to release innocent individuals.
