Jaipur: Tension prevails in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan after violence between two communities a day before Eid. So far 97 people have been arrested in the case. At the same time, internet service has also been temporarily stopped till further orders. Treatment of 16 injured people, including 4 policemen, is going on in the violent clashes. People on both sides got hurt. Heavy police force is deployed in the district. According to the information, the help of drones is also being taken to keep an eye on the situation.

Let us tell you that the dispute started with the installation of flags and loudspeakers. On the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, saffron flags and banners were put up on the circle at Jodhpur's Jalori Gate square. On the eve of Eid, people of a particular community removed the old flag-banners and put their flags and loudspeakers there. Along with this, tied to the statue of freedom fighter Bal Mukund Bissa and hoisted a big religious flag. Incidents of stone pelting and vandalism took place after the video of flag removal went viral. The stone pelting took place even after the Eid prayers the next day.

Amidst the ongoing tension after the violence, state CM Ashok Gehlot made a poignant appeal. He told the people of Jodhpur that they do not have to dispute at any cost. CM Gehlot said that, 'The tension created in Jodhpur is unfortunate. It has been the tradition of Rajasthan and Marwar that people of all religions of all societies have lived here with love and brotherhood on every festival. I would like to urge that all people maintain peace and eliminate tension, because this atmosphere of tension, violence is not in the interest of the people of Jodhpur.
